KAREN HANNAH WHEELER
Ms. Wheeler is a skilled and experienced litigator who has litigated a multitude of complex and highly technical cases and has maintained an exceptional trial record. Ms. Wheeler is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been since 1998. She is an associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Ms. Wheeler’s trial experience involves complex litigation and any other litigated matter. She obtained a defense verdict for her client after a fourteen and ½ week class-action jury trial involving claims in excess of $380,000,000.00. Her wide range of experience includes lead counsel in dozens of successful jury trials, many arbitrations, and appellate arguments in varied legal areas and venues. Her appellate practice has resulted in numerous published Court of Appeals and Supreme Court opinions.
Ms. Wheeler has practiced civil defense litigation since 1987. Ms. Wheeler’s trial work has included commercial litigation, professional negligence, personal injury, construction law, product liability, environmental law, toxic torts, employment law, civil rights litigation, insurance coverage, regulatory compliance, bad faith litigation, and general tort law. She has also served as an arbitrator in numerous personal injury and contract arbitrations and has presented various educational seminars in many areas of the law, including how to litigate class action lawsuits in Colorado. Ms. Wheeler is also active in estate and business planning.
Ms. Wheeler has been a very active leader in state and national bar associations and is also a leader and philanthropic contributor to the community. She has been honored with induction into the American Board of Trial Advocates and holds the rank of Associate. Ms. Wheeler served on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association for over a decade. Ms. Wheeler is a past president of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association and is a former Colorado State representative for the National Defense Research Institute. In both 2004 and in 2018, Ms. Wheeler received the State Leadership Award from the Defense Research Institute. Ms. Wheeler was selected for and completed the honorary Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training (COBALT). In 2008, Ms. Wheeler was honored as the Denver Bar Association Volunteer Lawyer of the Year. Ms. Wheeler was recognized by her peers as a Colorado Super Lawyer for 2008, 2009 2010, 2011, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. She received an Exceptional Performance Citation award from the National Defense Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, for “having supported and improved the standards of education of the defense bar and for having contributed to the improvement of the administration of justice in the public interest.” She is the former Chair of the Colorado and Denver Bar Association’s Joint Judicial Task Force, is a fellow of the Colorado Bar Foundation, and is a current member of the Denver, Colorado, Arapahoe, and American Bar Associations.
Ms. Wheeler was admitted to the bar in 1987 and is licensed to practice in all of the Colorado and Wyoming courts, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals and U.S. Supreme Court. Ms. Wheeler obtained her Juris Doctor degree in 1987 from the University of Nebraska following receipt of her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1984 from Colorado State University.
Ms. Wheeler continues to maintain active involvement in many philanthropic organizations in Colorado. She co-chaired an event in Denver that raised over $250,000 for Girls Inc. of Metro Denver. She was formerly on the Board of Directors for Girls Inc., Metro Denver, and is a past president of Girls Inc., Alliance. She has been an active volunteer for The Gathering Place and many other local philanthropies. She served as a volunteer as the Parent Leader for Littleton High School Varsity Football from 2011 through 2014 and was active in the PTO for Littleton High School.
When not serving her clients, Karen can be found practicing yoga, golfing, entertaining friends and family at her home, traveling, or recreating outdoors with her husband, three sons, and their partners and dogs.
JAMI A. MAUL
Ms. Maul was admitted to the Colorado State Bar in 2011. Ms. Maul has been involved in successfully presenting several jury trials and numerous appellate arguments and briefings. Jami was named a Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2019-2021. She received her Bachelor of General Studies in Political Science from the University of Kansas in 2007. Ms. Maul obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of law in 2011. During law school, Ms. Maul served as an editor for the UMKC Law Review. Ms. Maul’s article, “America’s Favorite ‘NonProfits’: Taxation of the National Football League and Professional Sports Organizations” was published in the fall 2011 edition of the UMKC Law Review. While in law school, Ms. Maul worked as a student attorney in the Kansas City Tax Clinic, representing low-income taxpayers in their tax controversies with the Internal Revenue Service, and as a law clerk in a Kansas City law firm where she worked in the firm’s bankruptcy and foreclosure department. Ms. Maul earned the CALI award for the top grade in her class in law school in Patent Law. Ms. Maul also served as the vice president of the UMKC Sports and Entertainment Law Association. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Denver Bar Association, and Colorado Defense Lawyers Association.
When not working to serve her clients, Ms. Maul enjoys being a mother of four active children, being an avid Kansas basketball fan, and spending time outdoors with her family.
CHRISTOPHER C. BEVIER
Mr. Bevier is a 2018 graduate of the University of Denver School of Law. Prior to attending D.U., Mr. Bevier graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Washington State University where he was on the President’s Honor Roll. Mr. Bevier was the Vice President of the Economics Club. Mr. Bevier joined our team in September of 2018 where he worked as a law clerk until he passed the bar in November of 2018. Mr. Bevier has experience with jury trials, mediations, and depositions and has had numerous successes with his motions practice. When not doing law-related activities, Mr. Bevier enjoys traveling and sports.
SEAN T. CARLSON
Sean Carlson was born and raised in Denver but left to attend Washington University School of Law as a William H. Webster Society Scholar, graduating cum laude in 2019. While at Wash U, Sean was a member of the Public Service Advisory Board, participated in the Wiley Rutledge Moot Court Competition, served as a staff editor for the Washington University Jurisprudence Review, worked in the school’s Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, and enjoyed all of the bar-b-que St. Louis has to offer. After law school and before joining Wheeler Law, Sean clerked for the Hon. Michael A. MacDonald in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Outside of the law, Sean enjoys running, fat biking, golf, skiing, broomball, reading, cooking, and traveling.

KATIE M. DAVIS
Ms. Davis is a 2020 graduate of Creighton University, School of Law. While at Creighton, Katie was Vice President of the American Constitution Society, Vice President of Public Relations for the Creighton University School of Law Interschool Moot Court Competition, and was a pro bono volunteer at the Women’s Center for Advancement Legal Clinic. She was also a legal writing center tutor and research assistant for one of her professors and earned CALI Awards in Environmental and Natural Resources Law and Energy Law. During law school, Katie clerked for the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, the Colorado Administrative Courts, and Metropolitan Utilities District.
Ms. Davis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2017. While in college, Ms. Davis was involved in Colleges Against Cancer, Big Partner Little Partner, and Lucia Singers. Katie was admitted to the Colorado and District of Columbia Bar in 2021. She has practice experience in civil litigation and government contracting. Outside of work, Katie enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her husband, cheering for the Green Bay Packers and Denver Nuggets, and hanging out with her rabbit, Penelope.
Natalie Levitt
Natalie is a native of Denver and attended the University of Denver for both her undergraduate and law school education. She was inspired to become an attorney by her late father, who practiced law in Denver for many years.
During her time in college, she studied abroad in Ireland and was a member of the Chi Omega sorority while earning a double major in criminology and communication studies. In law school, Natalie was the secretary of the Air and Space Law Society, a student attorney in the criminal defense clinic, a staff editor on the Water Law Review board, and recipient of a Certificate in Legal Research. Natalie has worked in a variety of areas of the law and is happy to be able to put her training and experience to use for the benefit of her clients. She believes that listening carefully and empathetically to her clients is the first step in a successful working relationship. During her free time, Natalie enjoys travelling, cooking, attending concerts, and spending time with family and friends.

CHALLY L. LAGRAVE, Litigation Paralegal
Chally is an ABA Certified Paralegal and earned her Certificate and an Associate Degree in Paralegal at Rancho Santiago College following attending California State University Fullerton. Ms. Lagrave has been practicing as a paralegal since 1991 and has experience in all types of litigated civil cases. Ms. Lagrave has been part of our team since 2009. Ms. Lagrave is devoted to her family. She is an avid surfer, loves golf, and being outside.
ALLISON GINN, Litigation Paralegal
Allison is a Colorado native who graduated from the University of Denver in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in International Studies. With a background in the financial and service industries, Ms. Ginn joined the team in 2019. Ms. Ginn loves yoga, volunteering at a local animal shelter, and spending time with her daughters, Harper and Chloe.
ANDY WHEELER, Paralegal
Andy was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado, and graduated from Colorado State University with a Master’s degree in sports management and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in management, also with certifications in innovation and organizational management, entrepreneurship, and content marketing, as well as a sociology minor. Andy has experience working in sales as well as production with certain products. While at CSU, Andy was involved in a club on-campus to diagnose and solve organizational cohesion and communication issues over a few-month period. He was also in charge of the social media accounts for the CSU DII Hockey team for a few-month period as well. Andy worked in customer service for about a year and is great with communication between others and dealing with the needs of customers. Andy interned at Western Union Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, working as a social media digital marketing intern. Andy has for three years been assisting NFL agents and scouts with the production of scouting reports in preparation for the NFL draft. Andy is hardworking, organized, a great communicator, and a team player. When not at work on doing scouting for sports teams, Andy loves hiking, skiing, golfing, playing football, lacrosse, piano, seeing live music, going to sporting events, and spending time with friends and family.
TIMBERLI WILLIAMS, Paralegal
Timberli was born in Birmingham, AL, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia where she attended Georgia State University (GSU). At Georgia State, she served as a speaker coach and Hospitality Committee member for TEDx Georgia State University, treasurer for the GSU Chemistry Club, Educational Program Coordinator for Georgia State’s Leadership Programs Office, Senior Supplemental Instruction Leader for Georgia State’s Office of Student Success, Honors College Ambassador for Georgia State’s Honors College, and Coxswain for the Georgia State University Crew Team. Ms. Williams graduated with honors from Georgia State University’s Honors College in 2018 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing, a minor in Chemistry, and a concentration in Pre-Medicine. Apart from her educational studies, Ms. Williams has served as a guest speaker and oratorical coach assistant at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change since 2013. In addition, she was the first student to be selected from Coweta County to recite the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech on national television during the 2013 Commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Atlanta, GA, prior to Former President Barack Obama’s Inauguration in Washington, D.C. Ms. Williams is currently a student at Harvard University where she is pursuing a Master of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies with a field concentration in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. Ms. Williams happily joined Wheeler Law, P.C., in April 2021 as a Litigation Paralegal to gain extensive legal experience prior to applying to law school. Prior to joining Wheeler Law, P.C., Ms. Williams worked at Piedmont Heart and Vascular Institute in Atlanta, Georgia, where she worked as a medical assistant and clinical research assistant where she performed research on Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI) and Pulmonary Embolisms (PE). In her downtime, Ms. Williams enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and her adorable corgi, Butters.
STEPHANIE MALTBY, Legal Assistant
Stephanie is an experienced legal professional with over ten years of working in law offices. Stephanie earned an A.A. degree specifically designed to provide the skills of a legal administrative assistant. She is creative, attentive to detail, and hard working. Stephanie is a devoted mother and friend who enjoys interacting with people and bringing joy to their lives through humor.
Kate Soulier (Legal Asst)
Kate graduated from Loyola University Chicago with degrees in Political Science and English. During her time in undergrad she worked for several political campaigns and nonprofits based in Chicago, Boston, and Washington, DC. After graduating she returned to Colorado, where she is from, and joined the team at Wheeler Law. In her free time she enjoys hiking and spending time with her dog.
JACK WHEELER, Firm Administrator
Jack earned bachelor’s degrees in Spanish, Anthropology, and Business in 2015 and is currently working toward a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Environmental Science. Jack has over 10 years of customer service and office administration experience. He has worked in real estate, law, and museum administration and coordinating roles, and he also works as an officer in ColoRail, a nonprofit rail organization. Fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish, Jack deals with client translations and language services and supports the administrative functions of Wheeler Law. Jack is an accomplished classical musician, loves skiing, enjoys outdoor activities, and is a seasoned adventurer.
